Forro Event

Event on November 11th – “Forró dance for beginners”

About the event

Do you like to dance?  Do you like brazilian culture?  Do you want to learn more about a typical music style from Brazil’s Northeast? Then sign up for our forró event 😀

The Forro scene in Stuttgart is one of the largest Forro communities in Germany, composed by people from different nationalities. In comparison to other latin music styles, the basic dance steps are quite simple, which contributes to its great popularity.

Forró music

One of the most common forró styles is typically played with an accordion and classical guitar, followed by rhythm instruments such as: triangle, zabumba and others. In the following link you can find a playlist with examples of forró songs.

The event will be hosted by Forró Haus Stuttgart, so make sure to check their social media 🙂
